Happy Six Months Birthday

Well, Bryson is officially six months old now. It's hard to believe how much he has grown and changed. Actually he is a miracle baby. He had his six month visit to the doctor this week and now weighs 14lbs and is 25 inches long. He is just barely in the percentiles for a six month old, but is right on track for a four month old and since he was two months early he is doing great. He has started eating baby food and baby cereal and so far has like everything. The challenge is getting it past his tongue. You put it in and he promptly pushes it back out with his tongue. He wants to eat table food, but we keep telling him he needs some teeth first. He is trying to sprout some teeth, drooling like crazy, but so far nothing breaking through. He is almost sitting up by himself, but is still a little wobbly. He is not much interested in crawling, but wants to walk. If you force him to sit down, he arches his back and throws a fit until you stand him up again. Bryson is really a happy baby and all most always has a big smile on his face. He loves to give kisses, but fair warning, they are really juicy ones. Be sure and leave Bryson a birthday comment.

Bryson's Dedication

Well, Bryson is officially six months old. Can you believe it? Today was his baby dedication at South Georgia Baptist where Chris is the youth pastor. When the pastor called for Bryson's family to come up to the front for his dedication, you should have see the surprised look on his face when he saw the crowd. I thought he knew that Chris' family is a large Italian family and our family is a clan. There were about twenty nine in our group! After the pastor called us up to the front, he gave Courtney and Chris a letter from him to Bryson to keep until the time he makes the decision to ask Christ into his life and a Bible. Next he told all of the family that it was our job and responsibility to guide Bryson, instruct him and pray for him, that he would ultimately become a follower of Christ. Of course I cried, but Bryson was a champion and smiled through the whole service. Here are some pictures I took for those of you that could not be there.

This was most of the family that went down to the front for the blessing.

All the family gathered around to lay hands on Bryson, Chris and Courtney to pray for them.

After church, mother suggested I take a four generation picture of Bryson, Chris, his dad Jerry, and his grandpa.

All in all it was a wonderful day.
